NEW ROTARY CLUB LOCAL QUARTERLY PUBLICATION

The publication will accomplish 8 objectives:

• increase  Rotary awareness
  
• pay tribute to those who put service above self
  
• make public our fund raising efforts in a timely fashion
• demonstrate the wonderful ways we put our time and money to good use
• increase club membership
• itself serve as a fund raiser for the club
• increase the opportunities for the Interact group to get involved, grow, and fund raise through selling the financing sponsorship space.
• generate goodwill in the community and with other service organizations
  

Easy,

• The club will supply the Rotarian and non-Rotarian topics of interest and photos
• Lauri Olsen, a professional, will write the articles.
• Interact will sell the sponsorship space, thus covering the expenses.
• Sponsors will be billed through the regular club billing.
  

Additionally, we attempt to present these from a human interest point of view.

• Examples: Daryl Micken's successes, Jay Owenhouse's long-term support efforts
  

The scope will be both local, regional and international.  Ex The Honduran Water Project.

Additional inclusions are:

• contact information for each club,
• new member photo-bios,
• Calendar of events
• Member of the year
• Student of the months
  

We will print 20,000 copies.

• Approx 17,000 will be put in the Chronicle.
• Others will be made available to the sponsoring businesses.
• The clubs will also have them at the membership desk to provide the members with a handy recruitment tool for visitors.when people ask, "What is Rotary? "What do you do??".
  

The Public Relations Committee will need a small amount of help from the club committees?

• Re: Fundraising
  •  I will ask them to give me a list of time related fund raising events so that we can put  them in the appropriate quarters publication. ex The pony express for this fall.
• Re: Service projects
  • I will ask them to give me a list of both last and this years projects and the time in which they are done.  Ex. 3rd grade Dictionary project for the Fall edition.
• Re: Outstanding Non-Rotarian community service people.
  • I will, also, ask them for a list of non-Rotarians and their projects that can be featured.
